We will have our bi-weekly Alfresco Tech Talk Live @ 12pm EST, Friday February 20th, 2009.
Our guest speaker will be Shane Johnson, a senior consultant at CITYTECH. Shane has spent the last few years working with enterprise content management systems with an emphasis on integration. He has written an open source project that exposes repository content via RESTful services, and also started work on another that allows users to browse repository content with a desktop application written in Flex and deployed to the AIR runtime.
Shane will be demonstrating the CMIS Explorer as a means of showcasing CMIS. But before that, He will talk briefly about ATOM. For each functional item in the explorer we’ll take a look at the CMIS services called behind the scenes. After the demo, he will discuss a few more services in detail. Finally, he will wrap it up by discussing how/why/when CMIS should be used.
